I have had a Honeywell Ademco wired/wireless system installed for a couple years now from Guardian. I have three wired Honeywell IS215T PIM Motion Sensors installed/mounted throughout the home as part of the system. My question is I am sure one of them is broken, I checked all the circuits in the main panel and there is power to the motion. Wayne, a direct replacement will work fine. You would only have to program if it was wireless.

I do not want monitoring, but do want to autodial 2 cellphone #'s. The Honeywell 4110 package @$199 has an autodialer ??? ... while the Ademco (Honeywell) systems require a separate $167 add-on. The cost differential doesn't make sense. Without regard for ease of installation, I assume a wired system is better & cheaper ... I only need 2 zones, 2 keypads, 4 small pet tolerant motion detectors, 1 smoke/heat and possibly 1 or 2 glass break. Local companies recommend the DSC 1616 and you sell the GE Caddx keypad that goes with what? Confusing ... Thank you.

I recently had an alarm system installed at my small business. We started noticing alot of calls coming in that would only ring once and then nothing. We found out that if a customer calls us immediately after we have hung up from talking on the phone, they will hear it ring once then they will get a fax like noise, if they hang up and call right back they will get the noise again. If they wait a minute to call back they can get thru. We contacted the installer and he said this was normal. Our sales have decreased 46% in the last 45 days since installation. I have asked him to remove the system and he wont. My question is, is this normal?

I am in the process of installing and testing a 4110xm. Two questions. 1. Do the End of line resistors (EOLR) need to be installed if all switches are Normally Closed? The schematic shows an EOLR connect to one side of an open switch and the other side going directly to the low side of the panel. I guess my question is, is the EOLR always required regardless of what type of switch is installed? (NC, NO) If the last switch in the loop in NC does the EOLR go from the low side of the switch to the directly to the panel screw? 2. I am installing several switches on 4 zones. All hardwired (no wireless, RF at all) For trouble shooting purposes and for clarity in describing my problem, I disconnect and disabled (programmed) all zones except zone one. (zones, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are currently disabled) On zone one I have a NC magnet switch with an EOLR connected. Regardless of what I do, the key pad continues to give a trouble tone and displays "check 9". Meaning I have a fault on zone 9. My panel only has six hard wired zones. However, on the programming form "Zone 9" is for "alarm report code, RF supervision" But I have no RF devices! I have followed the programming steps for Data field 59 (zone 9) that claims it disables the report by entering a "0" in the first digit. (I key in # plus 10 to send a zero according to the instructions) After exiting the programming mode I get a green ready light but a miniute later the Check 9 returns with the trouble tone. What the heck is going on and how do I fix it? Feel free to call me if you need to and Thanks a ton…….. Scott 260-750-8079

I am looking to replace my 30yo hardwired home alarm system. It is acting funny (or not at all lately) and want to replace the hardware and use the wiring. My system is as follows: 1 - alarm box 1 - keyed alarm activator/indicator (red/green light) for inside the house 1 - keypad activator/indicator for the entrance of the house 1 - audible alarm bell (school bell type) Several doors, windows, etc. are monitored What do you suggest I can purchase to replace this system with little or no rewiring. Thank you Anthony De Lisa

I am planning to buy and install a system from you for my condo. It was prewired at all doors and windows. The windows have the magnetic sensors and all wires run to the closet . This is great, but they are not identified. How can I identify them . At the wired window end , there are no areas to check for continuity, other than piercing the conductors. Also , the installed sensors do not have the the other halves. Are they generic? The sensors are marked Y0204TR15

I watched your video and understand how the autodialer works. Do you know of a system that can connect to my home computer and send me a email message. I have a Blackberry and I am more likely to get an email message in a timely manner than I would get a phone message.

I have a 4 wire safehouse (Radio shack) burglar/fire alarm system. . .20 years old (smoke detector model 49-481) appears it hasn't worked for awhile (some one installed battery units), system is on but won't arm, detectors will not alarm. I'm wanting to use existing wiring and replace the system. Wired: windows, 6 doors, 6 smoke detectors, panic button, indoor two-tone siren. I would like best wat to go to work to save $$$. thanks for your time
